SA Baxter Ushers in London Design Festival & Focus/18

The London Design Festival + Focus/18

Every year, London hosts a number of exciting design events. Now that the summer is officially over and we all find ourselves back at work, we look forward to the amazing events that come with the cooler weather. September and October are busy months for the design industry and we at SA Baxter get beyond excited about all the buzz that comes along with them.

The annual London Design festival commenced on Sunday 16th September and ran through to 23rd September. The week full of inspiration kicked off with Focus and Decorex. On Wednesday Olympia London opened up its doors to visitors of 100% Design and East London hosted one of the biggest trade shows in the industry – the London Design Fair.

Because of all the inspiration flowing through to the UK during these events, London once again became a premier destination for all interior design insiders, architects, trade specialists, manufacturers, suppliers and media. And of course, it didn’t escape our attention either!

The efforts and long preparations of the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour’s (DCCH) staff finally came to fruition on Sunday 16th September, where there were unique installations, exquisite decorations and display cases filled with colours and patterns.

Throughout the week, all of the showrooms here at DCCH had their doors open, greeting people with food and cocktails, and some even hosting interesting workshops, inspiring group discussions.

DCCH saw hundreds of people coming every day. We at SA Baxter had the pleasure of welcoming designers from across Europe, Russia, Asia and Australia. We shared our unique story and familiarised guests with the lost-wax investment casting production technique.

On Monday 17th of September, we attended the annual Focus/18 celebration. Salsa Night was the selected theme for this year’s party. The whole Design Centre was beautifully lit up, talented performers danced to Latin music, while the DJ was playing her best beats.

The party exceeded our expectations and we thank the whole DCCH team for organising this event and contributing to the fun and excitement of the design community here in London.

The Undulate Suite

What’s New, What’s Next

The Undulate Suite made waves at it’s premiere on Thursday night at “What’s New, What’s Next” at the New York Design Center.

Distinctively Designed

Like the gentle rippling of water on the surface of a calm pond, or the draping of fine fabric, the beautifully designed forms of this contemporary collection seem alive with movement. The Undulate Suite features silhouettes that are at once organic and yet strikingly modern. Flowing, graceful curves are held in check by clearly defined outlines, creating a harmonious balance. Toying with traditional notions of what hardware can be, the rolling wave motif that characterizes this new collection is a visual and tactile delight.

The Undulate Suite is comprised of a Door Knob, Lever, Rosette, Escutcheon Plate, Thumb Turn, Door Pull, Cabinet Pull, and Cabinet Knob. Handcrafted in our foundry and atelier, each piece carries the SA Baxter mark, our master artisans’ signature ensuring that it has not only been made from the finest materials, but that it meets the highest standards of design. The dynamic new collection is now available for purchase.
